A Rain Bag For Seattle Walks
Seattle walks need a small rain bag more than they need a weather debate.
Mine should be boring:
- compact rain cover
- thin packable towel
- dry socks for the toddler
- one grocery bag for wet clothes
- a spare adult layer if the route is longer than the block
The towel is the part I used to skip. That was the mistake. A damp stroller seat, a wet swing, or one ambitious puddle can end the outing faster than the actual rain.
This does not need to live in the diaper bag forever. It just needs to be near the door during the months when the forecast says “showers” and means four different things before lunch.
